Yogyakarta, May 28, 2024 – In an effort to enhance student competencies, the Communication Science Study Program at Universitas AMIKOM Yogyakarta invited Prof. Rudolf Anthony A. Lacerna, Director of the Institute of Open and Distance Education (IODE) at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, as a guest lecturer for the Communication Science International Class (BCCS) students.
The guest lecture took place in Room 6.2.1 on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 09.00 to 10.30 AM WIB. During this session, Prof. Rudolf presented on “New Media Theory and Case Study in the Philippines.” The lecture covered new media theories and relevant case studies in the Philippines, providing students with in-depth insights into the dynamics of modern media and its application in the Philippine context.
The event was attended by 9-12 students from the Communication Science International Class (BCCS). Students had the opportunity to engage directly with Prof. Rudolf, broadening their understanding of new media and its practical applications in the Philippines. This interaction is expected to enrich their knowledge and experience, motivating them to further explore the field of communication on an international scale.
